It was the real product made of quality material assembled in Vietnam with double stitching. Pockets are very large and meet any equipment configurations not requiring a radio pouch, but the shoulder straps have double row pals webbing to add pouches. I removed the flotation foam since I wont be on water. At time of purchase the price was $100 vs over $250 from other listings. Fantastic purchase.
